ACON’s Sorting It Out report showed that GBTQ men in our communities want healthy and safe relationships for themselves, their friends and community, but that many guys have also experienced unhealthy or abusive relationships in the past.
We want to better understand the experiences and needs of men in our community, and to talk about how we can all support and build healthy and safe relationships.
On Wednesday 11th September 2019 at Flock Lismore, we are holding a community forum to discuss GBTQ men’s relationships and some of the key issues raised by Sorting It Out. There will be food and live music too!
This forum is only open to gay, bisexual, transgender and queer men who have sex with men. Men who take part in the forum will be reimbursed with a $50 voucher for their time.
Where: Flock Lismore: 49 Woodlark St, Lismore, New South Wales, 2480
When: 11 September, from 5:30pm. The forum will run for 2 hours, and there will be food and entertainment following
Registrations are essential for catering purposes, and to assist us to organise reimbursement.
We also have a Facebook event for this event if you would like to share this event with friends (or just want to make sure you don’t forget it’s on!)
If you have any questions about this event, please contact Kai at 02 9206 2091 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If you can’t make it to the community forum, but would like to provide your thoughts on the research, you can contribute here.
