About the event Beers for Queers: July Batch Beers for Queers is your fave free Melbourne queer party, held at The Fox every month. Featuring the raddest queer markets, DJs and performers from the afternoon til late. 5pm-1am on Saturday July 20 @ The Fox Hotel, Collingwood. Free entry. ~Performances TBA ~DJs: TBA ~Gay Stuff Market Pop Up from 5-late upstairs FOOD: The Fox Kitchen is open from 1pm - 9:30pm and is serving up delish pub meals, with some amazing vegan and GF options. No bookings necessary, however we encourage you to book a table with the Fox if you’d like to have a meal with ya mates! OUR POLICY: Beers for Queers is a small, independent event and we strive to do everything in our power to make sure that everyone feels welcome. The Fox and Beers for Queers are owned and run by queer women. Beers for Queers aims to centre people whose voices aren't amplified in other spaces. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bigotry of any kind. If you witness bigotry at our event, we want to know about it. Please notify the producer, Keely, or ask for Clodagh behind the bar OR send a message to the Beers for Queers on socials. We want to keep this event free and as accessible as possible. ACCESSIBILITY: There is a coatcheck upstairs in the cooler months. There are unisex toilets. The front bar and pool table area is accessible from the street via a ramp, but it's a typical old pub building with narrow doorways and little steps to the toilets and the other rooms of the pub. The performance area and dance floor can get busy. There will be a screen showing the stage in the front bar. There are more chilled zones such as the newly renovated upstairs area and beer gardens. The markets are held upstairs. For more info on the venue itself, please contact the amazing staff at The Fox. COVID SAFETY: Mask-wearing indoors is no longer compulsory but is encouraged. If you are feeling unwell, please don't come. Do a RAT before you come if you can. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: We are so grateful to be putting on this party but must remember that we are dancing on stolen land.
