Queer Reads- NSW

Hi gay! Waverley Library is calling all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies who are interested in reading and discussing books with queer themes and representation. This is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, engage in meaningful discussions, and discover new books and authors. Q ueer Reads meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in Training Room 2 on level 1. The reading list for 2024 is subject to change due to availability but the propsed list is: Feb: Detransition Baby by Torrey Peters Mar: High School by Tegan and Sara Apr: The Boy From the Mish by Gary Lonesborough May: Growing Up Queer in Australia by Benjamin Law Jun: This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar Jul: All Boys Aren't Blue by George M. Johnson Aug: You Exist Too Much by Zaina Arafat Sep: Amateur by Thomas Page McBee Oct: Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender Nov: The Family Law by Benjamin Law Dec: The Queer Principles of Kit Webb by Cat Sebastian Drinks and snacks provided. Terms and conditions: Library events may be photographed, and images used for promotional purposes on Library's website or social media. If an event is sold out, no tickets are given out at the door If you join a waitlist, we will contact you if a ticket becomes available.
