Celebrate International Pride Month every Monday in June right here in Gympie with four faaaaaaaaaabulous films showing different faces of our diverse LGBTQI+ community. June 03 - Riot (2018) Rated M Riot tells the story of the courage and passion behind Australia’s first Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. In late 1970s Sydney, when homosexuality is still a crime, a group of activists don fancy dress, join hands and parade down Oxford Street – unaware that angry police lie in wait, and that history is about to be written. June 10 - Call Me By Your Name (2017) Rated M In the summer of 1983, 17-year-old Elio forms a life-changing bond with his father's charismatic research assistant Oliver in the Italian countryside. June 17 - Shortbus (2006) Rated R In post-9/11 New York City, an eclectic group of citizens find their lives entangled, personally, romantically, and sexually, at Shortbus, an underground Brooklyn salon infamous for its blend of art, music, politics, and carnality. June 24 - Kinky Boots (2005) Rated G A drag queen comes to the rescue of a man who, after inheriting his father's shoe factory, needs to diversify his product if he wants to keep the business afloat. * Feel free to dress in your campest, most outrageous outfit, and get your kinky boots on!  Prizes for outfits and drag queens and kings to welcome you to our finale screening!
