Queer Reads- NSW

Hi gay! Waverley Library is calling all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies who are interested in reading and discussing books with queer themes and representation. This is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, engage in meaningful discussions, and discover new books and authors. Queer Reads meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in Training Room 2 on level 1. The reading list for 2024 is subject to change due to availability but the propsed list is:

3. Apr: The Boy From the Mish by Gary Lonesborough
4. May: Growing Up Queer in Australia by Benjamin Law
5. Jun: This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar
6. Jul: All Boys Aren't Blue by George M. Johnson
7. Aug: You Exist Too Much by Zaina Arafat
8. Sep: Amateur by Thomas Page McBee
9. Oct: Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender
10. Nov: The Family Law by Benjamin Law
11. Dec: The Queer Principles of Kit Webb by Cat Sebastian

• Library events may be photographed, and images used for promotional purposes on Library's website or social media.
• If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
• Do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell.
• If an event is sold out, no tickets are given out at the door
• If you join a waitlist, we will contact you if a ticket becomes available.
• If you are no longer able to attend an event please, cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the program.
