Queer Reads- NSW

Hi gay! Waverley Library is calling all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies who are interested in reading and discussing books with queer themes and representation. This is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, engage in meaningful discussions, and discover new books and authors. Q ueer Reads meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in Training Room 2 on level 1. The reading list for 2024 is subject to change due to availability but the propsed list is: Feb: Detransition Baby by Torrey Peters Mar: High School by Tegan and Sara Apr: The Boy From the Mish by Gary Lonesborough May: Growing Up Queer in Australia by Benjamin Law Jun: This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar Jul: All Boys Aren't Blue by George M. Johnson Aug: You Exist Too Much by Zaina Arafat Sep: Amateur by Thomas Page McBee Oct: Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender Nov: The Family Law by Benjamin Law Dec: The Queer Principles of Kit Webb by Cat Sebastian Drinks and snacks provided. Terms and conditions: Library events may be photographed, and images used for promotional purposes on Library's website or social media.
